To Whom It May Concern,

          Miss. Chen-Chien Huang has asked me to write a letter of recommendation for her to apply for your program. I am very glad to do so. Chen-Chien was a former student of mine and I have been her mentor for four years from September 2005 to June 2009 at Department of Information Management, Chang Gung University . 

The courses of our department have two major parts: management and computer science. Chen-Chien’s management-related courses are not very well but computer science-related courses above average at B, such as Data structures, Operating Systems, Computer Network, and Computer Architecture. In her last year of study, she found that she wants to pursue a master degree of computer science. Chen-Chien is a person who will do her best as possible as she can if her decision is determined. In last semester, she paid all the attention to her interested courses. As a consequence, she obtained straight A’s.

In the one-year course of Graduate Project, Chen-Chien joined a team to create a web-based personal project management system. The system is design for project members to manage their general and project schedules, to upload associated documents, and to maintain contacts’ information. In the team, Chen-Chien’s job is to develop the programs of managing project procedures and electro-signature forms. Through the Graduate Project, she learned client-side AJAX technologies and server-side construction and performance-tuning techniques. 

In her university years, Chen-Chien also paid much attention to the extracurricular activities. She always played an indispensable role in the most student activities of the department. Besides, she was also a volunteer doing community services at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital . If she had not spent so much time and effort on extracurricular activities, I think that she would have had better grades. But I do appreciate the experiences of leadership and cooperation that she learned in the extracurricular activities.

Chen-Chien is responsible, friendly, cooperative and full of potentiality and energy. In my opinion, her intelligence, motivation and capabilities will make her a good candidate for your program.
